The timber used to create EZITrim Plus is grown at a sustainable plantation of Radiata Pine. After being harvested, the timber is dried in a kiln and then docked in order to remove all of the knots or other imperfections to create a defect-free natural wood trim that is ready to topcoat and pre-primed for a premium finish.

 

Versatile Designs

Radiata Pine goes through a comprehensive pruning process at a young age. This allows the trees to grow free of defects. Most plantations prune this type of pine to at least five metres high. The careful growing and pruning process creates clear wood ideal for different applications.

Environmentally Friendly

Structural Integrity

This type of pine has an average density rating of 450 to 500 kg/m³ for every 12 per cent of moisture content. Depending on its age, the timber will naturally shrink from 3.5 to 4.5 per cent tangentially. Radially, it can go from 1.5 to 2.5 per cent. These properties give it structural integrity and dimensional stability.

 

Easily Treatable

After it is cut down, Radiata Pine is transferred to the facility for processing. Using a specially developed solution, each piece of timber is treated to enhance its durability. Its highly permeable surface streamlines the process. Different levels of treatment are carried out in relation to the wood’s eventual purpose.
